Professional status is an indication that we have suitable
knowledge of the AdWords marketing system to be able
to give qualified advice through previous experience
and technical knowledge of managing client accounts
and sitting the Google Advertising Professional Exam.

Google AdWords
are adverts that appear in boxes on the right
hand side of the page in Google (and also sometimes
just above the search results). They can also
appear in partner sites such as AOL,
Ask Jeeves, EarthLink, NTL and BT openworld
if you wish. You can specify locations where
you would like your adverts to be shown and
these can be by country if you operate nationwide
or globally, or just by region within a country
if you operate locally.
The wording of the adverts is
up to you and we can help advise on this. In
addition you will need to provide a list of
the keywords or phrases that you would like
your advert to appear for.

With our own keyword
analysis software we can help you to find a wide range
of suitable keywords and phrases that we can apply
to each advert to get the best coverage and to also
allow you to reduce your bid amount to get best value
for money.
With the AdWords
system you are able to choose yourself what you would
like to pay as a maximum for each click through to
your site from your advert on Google. The minimum bid
is currently 4p per click, which provides excellent
value for money compared to nearly any other form of
advertising and indeed most other Pay-Per-Click (PPC)
advertising programs.
As you only pay when
someone actually clicks on your advert and is sent
through to your site, it provides a very fair method
of paying for advertising, particularly as there's
no minimum monthly charge, just a nominal activation
fee. Your adverts start running within minutes after
you submit your billing information and you can easily
keep track of your advert performance using the reports
in your online account Control Center.
Where your advert
will appear in the list for a certain keyword or phrase
will depend on a combination of your maximum bid amount
and the average Click-Through-Rate (CTR) for that advert
(how many times the advert is clicked on as a percentage
of the number of times that is actually shown).
We
can help you to get the optimum balance and setup
for your AdWords marketing and can manage it on your
behalf if you wish once it is up and running.
Our fees for AdWords consultancy are
£70+VAT per hour. For a small business wanting
2-4 different adverts this would probably work out
to a setup fee of about £250+VAT and an optional
monthly or quarterly management fee of £70+VAT or so for managing
keywords and bid amounts to achieve the best placing
and returns from your advertising budget. We typically
recommend a daily spend on AdWords of at least £2
per day to ensure that our fees remain proportionally
low as part of your total advertising spend.
