Can
I add further content to the CDs or DVDs
once they have been burnt? |
|
Yes.
If you let us know that you wish to do so prior to
production of the discs then we will not 'finalize'
or 'finish' the CDs or DVDs. This will then allow
you to add further files to the discs (as long as
there is enough space left on the discs) at any point
in the future.
As standard all
of our CDs and DVDs are finalized during production
to stop anyone from tampering with the discs once
they have been distributed.
Finalizing a disc
adds a small amount of further information to the
disc stating how many tracks are on the disc and
where it ends. This information is not important
for data CDs if you just have PDFs, PowerPoint files
or your website on the discs for example, but if
they are CD-A audio CDs (for playing in standard
audio CD players) then it is
important to add this information and to finalize
the discs, otherwise they will almost certainly not
work properly in audio CD players or in read-only
CD/DVD drives.
Please note that
this option only applies to our duplicated
discs, as replicated
discs cannot be burnt at all due to
their method of construction.
